Beginning 01 January 2020 until 31 March 2020 vUSAA will be supporting the Alaska State Troopers and Alaska National Guard with Routine Rural Area Medical Airlift Operations, Search and Rescue, and Medevac Operations.  During this timeframe land access may be limited and airborne operations are critical in the State of Alaska.

All vUSAA Pilots qualified (MQT) and HAATS qualified in the UH-60, CH-47, H-1, or UH-72 "may" volunteer for a one (1) month rotational assignment. Rotation assignment may be extended at the pilot's request.  Quick Reaction Teams (QRT)s will be established with the Senior most vUSAA pilot in charge during each monthly rotation.

The duty station will be Elmendorf Air Force Base (Anchorage, AK) (PAED) with the Medevac Heliport for Anchorage Regional Hospital at the East end of MERRILL Field. Support missions will be posted in the Operation Winter Wings Air Tasking Folder.  The Area of Operations (AoO) will be the Anchorage area with a heavy concentration in the Chugach Mountains State Park region. Some missions may extend to the Fairbanks, Denali National Park, and McGrath areas as well.

Rotational pilots will be free to fly pilot desired flights in the Elmendorf Area of Operation (AoA) but must remain in the AoO for the duration of the rotation. Aircraft will be provided by the Alaska National Guard.  Transportation to/from PAED will be provided by USAPAT.

Qualified pilots wishing to volunteer for a rotation should contact the vUSAA G3 via DISCORD private message.
